Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Tidy Home: Night Routine (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a simple nightly home reset app. It helps users complete a short 5–15 minute routine before bed, such as loading or washing dishes, wiping the kitchen counter, resetting the couch, picking up clutter, taking out trash, setting keys and a bag, or preparing one thing for tomorrow.
This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App. The App is designed to work without an account, login, user profile, cloud sync, or backend server for routine data.
The App does not require an account and does not ask users to enter personal information. However, because the App uses Google AdMob, Google and its partners may collect or receive certain information from your device as described in Google’s policies.
2. Information You Provide Directly
The App does not ask you to provide your name, email address, phone number, password, financial information, health information, or sensitive personal information.
The App may allow you to create or edit routine tasks and app preferences. For example, you may add, remove, or edit routine task names, choose a default reset duration, mark tasks as done or skipped, and view simple completion stats or weekly progress.
This routine information is stored locally on your device. We do not directly receive or view your routine tasks or completion history.
If you contact us for support by email, we may receive the email address you use and the information you choose to include in your message.
3. Local Routine Data Stored on Your Device
The App stores routine-related data locally on your device so it can remember your starter routine, edited tasks, default duration, completed nights, skipped or completed tasks, simple progress, and local settings.
This local routine data is used only to provide the App’s nightly reset features on your device. We do not operate a cloud account system or backend server that stores your routine data.
If your device operating system, device backup, or platform account settings back up app data, that process is controlled by your device settings and platform provider, not by us.
4. Advertising and Google AdMob
The App uses Google AdMob and the Google Mobile Ads SDK to display advertisements.
Google AdMob and related Google services may collect, receive, process, or share certain data to show ads, personalize ads if enabled, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, improve ad delivery, and comply with legal obligations.
Depending on your device, app version, region, consent choices, platform settings, and Google’s advertising systems, advertising partners may process data such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers where available, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, ad interactions, app interactions related to ads, diagnostic information, performance information, crash or error-related information, and device and app information.
The App may show personalized or non-personalized ads depending on your consent, device settings, regional requirements, Google settings, and platform privacy controls.
We do not directly receive your personal advertising identifier from AdMob. We may receive aggregated advertising reports, such as ad impressions, ad performance, and estimated revenue, but those reports are not designed to identify your local routine data.
You can learn more about Google’s privacy practices by visiting the Google Privacy Policy.
5. Advertising Identifiers and Device Information
Advertising identifiers are device-level identifiers that may be used for advertising, measurement, frequency capping, fraud prevention, and related purposes. On Android, this may include the Android Advertising ID where available. On iOS, this may include Apple’s advertising identifier if access is permitted and used.
You can manage advertising preferences through your device settings, Google settings, Apple privacy settings, and any consent options shown in the App where required.
6. App Tracking Transparency on iOS
On iOS, Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework may require the App to ask for permission before tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies or before accessing the device advertising identifier for tracking purposes.
If personalized advertising, IDFA access, or cross-app tracking is used, the App may show Apple’s tracking permission prompt. If you decline permission, ads may still appear, but they may be less personalized or non-personalized.
7. How Information Is Used
Local routine data is used to operate the App’s core features, including showing the welcome and tonight screens, letting you choose a 5, 10, or 15 minute reset, starting and managing an active nightly reset, marking tasks as done or skipped, supporting the Safe Leave reset option, showing completion screens, displaying simple completion stats, editing starter routines, adding or removing routine tasks, saving your default duration, showing weekly rhythm and completed nights, managing settings, and allowing you to clear local data.
Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob may be used to show ads, personalize ads where allowed, measure ad performance, prevent fraud and abuse, improve ad delivery, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations.
Support emails are used to respond to your request and maintain reasonable support records.
8. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data.
We do not share your locally stored routine tasks, completed nights, skipped tasks, default duration, or local progress with advertisers or other users through our own backend systems.
Because the App uses Google AdMob, Google and its partners may collect, receive, process, or share advertising-related data as described in Google’s policies and advertising technologies.
We may disclose information if required to comply with law, respond to legal process, protect the rights or safety of users or others, investigate misuse, or respond to support requests you send to us.
9. Data Retention and Deletion
Routine data stored locally on your device remains there until you delete it, clear local app data, reset the App, or uninstall the App. If the App is deleted, local routine data may be deleted by the operating system.
We do not maintain a server-side copy of your routine data.
If you contact us by email, we may keep your support message for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain support records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect our legitimate interests.
Advertising-related data collected or processed by Google AdMob is handled according to Google’s own retention practices and policies.
10. Clear Local Data
The App includes a Clear Local Data option. You can use this feature to remove routine data stored by the App on your device, such as edited routine tasks, local progress, completion history, and local settings.
You may also be able to clear app data through your device settings or remove local app data by uninstalling the App.
11. What the App Does Not Collect
The App does not require account creation, login, user profiles, passwords, cloud sync, user-to-user sharing, social features, AI features, subscriptions in V1, reminders or notifications in V1, precise location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, health data, financial data, or sensitive personal data entered by the user.
12. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13 years old or to children under the minimum age required by applicable law in their region.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through our own account systems or backend servers. If you believe a child has contacted us or provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
13. Data Security
The App uses a data-minimizing design by storing routine data locally on your device rather than on our own servers.
No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure, including using device passcodes, biometric access where available, software updates, and appropriate backup settings.
14. International Users
The App may be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and other regions. Advertising-related data processed by Google AdMob may be processed in countries outside your country of residence, subject to Google’s policies and legal transfer mechanisms.
Where required by law, including in regions such as the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, consent choices may be shown for personalized ads, local storage, advertising identifiers, or related advertising purposes.
15. Your Choices
You can choose whether to use the App and what routine tasks to save locally. You can edit or remove routine tasks, use the Safe Leave reset option, skip tasks, clear local data, uninstall the App, and manage advertising or tracking choices through device settings and consent prompts where available.
You can also manage Google advertising preferences through Google settings and Apple tracking permissions through iOS privacy settings where applicable.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, advertising services, platform requirements, legal requirements, or our privacy practices.
When we update this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date above. Material changes may be communicated through the App, app store listing, or Privacy Policy page where appropriate.
